This meditation is described as "vintage" Mario and Colin. Colin plays the organ while Mario reflects on the coming of the transforming light of Christ, as told in the Prologue to St John's Gospel. He takes us beyond the causes and why's and wherefore's of illness and disease to a spiritual realm where life, health, and peace are at work.
As Rev Colin Read plays “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring,” Rev Mario says: I would like for a moment to be with you, wherever you are. I would like to join you in spirit. I would like to feel your presence and I hope and pray that you will feel my presence near you, very near to you. I would like to share with you some of the immeasurable riches which is the experience of anyone who is in Christ. I would like to talk to you and talk with you about my Christ, about my Lord. I want to share with you that which I love, that which is the healing of the soul, the wholemaking spirit … He directs us to focus on the hymn “Be Thou My Vision” and then to consider our own relationship with the Christ, the Word who became flesh and brought the life and the light of the heavens to this earth and to each human soul. The meditation directs us to open our souls: Still the questioning of your mind and in the opening of your soul have that deep relationship with the Christ. Feel his quickening power.
