The purpose of the Cosmic Mass is to make present in this moment the pivotal act of Golgotha and to take in the fruit of the offering of Christ’s body and blood. It is a sacrament of remembrance: remember your holy origin and destiny. Take in sustenance for your soul.
It is ‘cosmic’ because it is celebrated not only for the people present, but with and on behalf of the universe. Christ’s sacrifice was for every human soul, so everyone – regardless of age, gender, race or creed – is welcome to participate and receive the sacred elements of bread and wine. The receiving of holy communion has an uplifting and strengthening effect for all who are working to realise the Christ within.
The ritual of the Cosmic Mass has evolved in our spiritual community. It is a modern form of the worship of the ancient Greek and Egyptian temples. It is a mystical experience, engaging both heart and mind. The drama of the liturgy is a call to enter the realm of the heavens which is your true home.
As well as being celebrated in Rosa Veritas communities, a celebration of the Cosmic Mass is streamed live each month via Zoom video-conferencing.
