Our world is upheld by spiritual beings whose presence and working is vital to its continuance. When we understand our place in this hierarchy of spirit we can see how these spiritual companions sustain us, and also what we can offer them.​

In ancient times humanity lived with a consciousness of the Spiritual Hierarchy, the beings working in evolution and behind physical creation. Our consciousness has evolved since those ancient times and in this process we have lost the perception of spirit at work. We need to develop a new consciousness – one where once again we can perceive the spiritual hierarchy at work, but now with the benefit of an evolved intellect. 

This unit focuses on the Spiritual Hierarchy and our relationship to these spiritual beings. We will explore:

• The nine beings who make up the hierarchy, and the three levels of that hierarchy.
• The role these spiritual beings have played in the evolution of the world. 
• How these beings have been and are active in our human evolution.
• The workings of the hierarchy in the present time.
• How we can develop our relationship with the hierarchy. 
• ‘Retarded’ spiritual beings, ‘evil’ and the development of human individuality.
• The principle ‘The higher serves the lower and the lower serves the higher’.

​Today we are confronted with the challenge to develop our perception of spirit at work behind matter. Contemplating the spiritual hierarchies is a step in the development of this perception. This course is an opportunity to discover more about these spiritual beings at work behind matter and their crucial role in our development as human beings.

You and the Spiritual Hierarchies involves:

• Studying eight study topics, each taking about two hours.
• Additional reading, writing and creative expression.
• This unit is available for home study. Participants receive a course book with learning notes, extra resources and assignments integrated into each of the eight study topics.
