Our name

Our name, Rosa Veritas, literally means rose truth.

Rosa. The rose is a long-recognised symbol of the unfolding of our true human potential, as well as being a name for Christ who is the essence and cause of our true spiritual beingness. The opened rose is a great symbol of something realised, fully visible, fully expressed. As a spiritual community of individuals who are dedicated to embracing, experiencing and embodying the truth of the living Christ, this is our hope, and what has called us together. 

Christ is known as the Rose of Sharon because he stands for all time in history as the great revealer of what the human being can become when we fully realise the spirit given to us. As such he is the rose that blooms in the desert, but we hope that one day this desert will again become a magnificent paradise.

Veritas. Truth, truthfulness, reality. The human quest is to know the truth – the truth of life, the truth of selfhood, the truth and reality of our I AM, which is the individual manifestation and expression of this Christ spirit within us. 

We encourage every member to seek to know the truth for themselves and not just blindly accept the teachings and the principles – these have their great value of course, but it is of eternal value to know the reality of Christ and portray this in our lives. This is the rosy truth. Rosa Veritas.

The rose calls each of us to recognise that this power of Christ is growing within us and that our true identity is not dependent on anyone else. We are called to stay centred in what is real and has value for eternity. This is the rose of Christ, the beauty of Christ, the true essence of our being.
