Easter Saturday, 30 March 2024
On this Holy Saturday, we are called to stay centred in what is real and has value for eternity. To be willing to stay present in this in-between space, somewhere between death and re-birth. To be trusting that the transformative spiritual forces are working as they should within the dark incomprehension of our rational minds. To be open and present with the mystery and ambiguity of not knowing exactly how this newness of living and being will reveal itself in us. And to be rising up as we feel the light of Christ’s living presence permeating our hearts and minds and illuminating the beauty of our being.
Glory, as of a risen sun:
a golden Rose unfurls a thousand petals one by one.
And in those dark and lonely hours
will flower a thousand, thousand flowers
entwined within our souls.
And hope will reign within our hearts embossed.
And none by Love or Lover knows who placed that Rose,
who placed that golden Rose upon the cross.
This is the Rose of Christ, the beauty of Christ; and it is our inner rose. Transforming from the blood-red of crucifixion toward the golden glory of resurrection. Empowering our ability to shine forth the presence of Christ ever more brightly into the world.
