Antoinette’s focus on one particular aspect of our word for the year and that is what we imbue into the world – what we bring, what we radiate and what will linger long after we are gone.
Through us your glorious light be known,
until its lustre is our own.
Lustre is a word that is connected with light. It indicates something shining, radiating. Something that declares its inner quality outwardly. Something that proclaims the presence of light. A shimmering clue to what lives within us.
We carry a treasure within the vessel of our bring, a treasure that can be described as light. It shines in each of us differently, for each of us has a different knowledge and relationship with the divine, and some let it shine and others hide it. And some strive to gain more knowledge and more experience of the glory of God that is in Christ.
Let us firstly realise the treasure that lives within each one of us.
Then let us decide to engage in those activities that will increase our knowledge and connection with the divine, so that this treasure of light becomes larger and brighter.
