Spiritual Focus for 2024

To imbue, the word for 2024, means to make something intrinsically part of us. It is a subtle thing, like adding sugar to a cup of tea or a cardamon pod to custard. It has an effect. It affects the atmosphere in which we live and what flows out from us and affects others. This year’s spiritual focus is a call to be more aware of what we are making part of ourselves.

What we are imbued with, what becomes part of our soul nature, is connected with what we do day-by-day, month-by-month, year-by-year, and the attitude with which we approach these ordinary things.
This is what our soul absorbs day-by-day; this is what is being imbued within us and this is also what we will take from this life. This year’s focus asks for a more conscious approach to this. What we are imbued with over a long period of time is very much to do with our future lives. What sort of nature do we want to have in the future? What sort of disposition? We are creating it now through our daily patterns. We can shape our future nature and abilities through what we take in day-by-day, our behaviours, our mindset, our repetitive thoughts, through what we love and give our continued attention to.
