Renew your mind
by Antoinette Schoenmaker
This small booklet gave spiritual focus to our spiritual community in 2009. The relevance of the practice of prayer, however, is not limited to any particular year. Prayer is an invisible way of serving, but not an intangible way of serving. It is a way of listening to the needs of the worlds around us and of lifting them before the Throne of Grace.

Spiritual Focus for 2009

eBook (PDF), 9 pages (including covers)
Prayer is a way of adding to the reservoir of love which keeps this world turning. It gives energy, form and substance to our hopes. It is a way of releasing, forgiving and restoring relationships. St Paul says: “Be ye transformed by the renewal of your mind.” Prayer assists us to cleanse, renew and transform our thinking and feeling levels.
Oh what peace we often forfeit. Oh what needless pain we bear. All because we do not carry Everything to God in prayer. Prayer makes us less self-indulgent. It clarifies. It clears the muddiness. It restores peace and assists us to keep our balance in this world. Keywords Year of, 2009, Prayer. |
