It will be of great spiritual assistance to you if, during the season of Lent, you create a small altar in a private space. This may be just a small table covered with a white cloth, two candlesticks placed on it, and either a picture of Christ, or a rose or some other flower, between the candles.

Commence the meditation for the day by lighting the candles, and some incense if you have this. Sit quietly for a moment. Relax and breathe easily without effort. Attune yourself to the spiritual task and practice awaiting you, and do not be in a hurry.

In order to build up an atmosphere of power and spiritual forces, it is advisable to have your devotions regularly, in the same place, and preferably at the same time. You have, as it were, an appointment with God and the holy ones, and they will be waiting for you if you have your devotions regularly.

During the meditation, following the spoken reflection, there is around four minutes of silence in the recording for a time of quiet reflection. If you prefer a longer time for silence, simply pause the audio recording.
