An epiphany is a sudden awakening, a sudden revelation.
In the Bible there are two events we name ‘epiphanies’ – the visit of the Three Wise Men from the East to see the newborn baby Jesus and, some 30 years later, the baptism of the grown man Jesus in the Jordan River.
These were times when the heavens and earth drew near and the divinity of Christ was made manifest.
As we enter a new year we can see those revelations were not just single moments in time but are actively influencing our lives right now.
