At Michaelmas we begin to turn our focus more and more toward the spiritual worlds. We give thanks for their help, guidance and protection and open ourselves to their heavenly wisdom.
We also consciously take up our role in the spiritual warfare of this current time and defend ourselves against the host of wickedness in the spiritual places. We do this through our intimate connection with Christ and our wilful practice of spiritual virtues. The ability to do this and this intimate relationship with Christ is the wisdom we can offer to the heavens. This publication includes three forms of spiritual protection used through history: St Paul’s Whole Armour of God, St Patrick’s Breastplate and the Catholic prayer: The Seven Swords of Michael.
