The Mystical Cosmic Mass acknowledges our growing spiritual maturity; our increasing ability to take responsibility for who and what we are, and for what we do; our capacity to comprehend multiple perspectives and relationships without narrowing ourselves down to ‘this or that’, or to ‘one or the other’. To strive towards balance and harmony and resist the tendency toward polarisation.
This striving towards balance and harmony is reflected in the symbolism associated with Archangel Michael and the season of Michaelmas – in the symbol of the balance or scales. We must use our perception and understanding to weight things up within our consciousness, to come to a decision, and to act with determination to find the balance point between opposites, between extremes.
Striving to establish and maintain balance requires us to look to the heavens, to look within ourselves, to look to the people and the world around us – and to perceive, to comprehend, and to enact our experience and understanding of spiritual truth.
The engagement and use of our willing to enable balance and empower creative being and living is fired by the spiritual impulse flowing to us in the season of Michaelmas.
