The Soul Mass provides a way for those present to generate spiritual power to support a departing soul in their spiritual transition and journey.
This service is traditionally celebrated for nine days following the death of a Priest. During the course of these nine days the focus of the address and choice of prayers changes to recognising and upholding the soul as it enters life in the eternal spheres. An increasing emphasis is placed on the legacy of the life of the soul.
These nine Masses are celebrated for Reverend Leo van Limbeek who entered incarnation 9 September 1932, was ordained to the priesthood according to the Order of Melchizedek 11 July 1999, and who entered new life in spirit 29 June 2024.
As is usual for all services, candlelight and flowers will enhance the spiritual atmosphere.
Please have close at hand a consecrated host, small bread roll or piece of bread and also a small glass or chalice of port, wine or fruit juice so you can join with the celebrant in the Offering and Consecration.
