Christ’s sacrifice was for every human soul, so everyone – regardless of age, gender, race or creed – is welcome to participate and receive the sacred elements of bread and wine. Participating of holy communion has an uplifting and strengthening effect for all who are working to realise the Christ within. Pentecost, which is the culmination of the Easter festival and the conclusion of the Mystical Interval, celebrates the descent of Christ’s spirit into our hearts to renew and enlighten our souls. In the mighty winds and Pentecostal tongues of fire the spirit of Christ descended upon the disciples, giving them a new consciousness and the power to set the hearts and souls of people everywhere alight. Our mass on this day celebrates the continuing message of Pentecost: the living Christ is present within us and we can express the greatness of this Christ power in every aspect of our lives. Preparation / Set Up
As is usual for all services, candlelight and flowers will enhance with spiritual atmosphere. Please have ready a consecrated host, small bread roll or piece of bread and also a small glass or chalice of port, wine or fruit juice.
