Advent
Welcome to Advent, the beautiful season of the mystery and power of something new entering into this world. So much can be said, so much felt in this season of promise.
To be expectant and to let hope live in our souls is the great work, if you can call it that, of Advent. Our expectancy, our hopes, draw something more to us, they kindle a response and make a way for the Holy One to come.
Hope and expectancy make us soft and open to receive the new life, the new power, the new relationship that is coming into the world. So we wait with reverent and obedient hearts.
In Advent (the four weeks prior to Christmas) the angels draw closer to this earth in preparation for the new flow of the Christ life into the world in the spiritual festival of Christmas. During Advent we prepare our souls through meditation, quiet reflection and song.
A spiritual resource for personal reflection during this time is Meditations for the Days of Advent. ( Book )

Rosa Veritas is a spiritual community who recognise that we are spiritual beings living on this earth with a purpose.
Our spiritual teacher, Rev Mario Schoenmaker (1929-1997), gave us esoteric and spiritual teachings to enable us to grow and evolve in understanding and expression of the spirit.
We believe that the seed of Christ is within each one of us. We know Christ as a free-making spirit that works to heal, uplift and transform our soul-being. We see reincarnation as the unfolding of our eternal soul. We are evolving beings, learning to be whole and free.
We are located in different parts of the world, primarily Australia, New Zealand and the Netherlands, and we meet together in different ways to deepen our ability to live according to the spirit that lives within us.
We offer different programs and activities: retreats, workshops and devotional services to strengthen our ability to see ourselves and one another as spiritual beings growing into wholeness and freedom.

Our spiritual focus and dedication for 2022 is: Moving with Spirit.
Movement is part of life. It is part of our bodies in big and small ways. It is part of our thoughts which are often fast-movers. It is part of our ideas which can sometimes be very fixed in place. It is part of our feelings and emotions which come and go like the weather. It is part of the spirit which in the very beginning moved across the waters and set everything in motion. For it is the wind that blows where it will and we see but the effect but not where it comes from or where it is going. The movement of the spirit creates.
It’s about being conscious of the moving or currents of the spirit – and how we work with that and respond to that. We are certainly in the midst of that now, with a mighty wind blowing.
It’s about being conscious of our own ability to move, to shift our position, to change our thoughts, shift our feelings. To come down from our high tower and join the pilgrims on the road, or to withdraw from the crowd and spend time with our Father in secret. To move from left to right. To rise up or lay down. To open our eyes or close them. To give voice or remain silent, and many nuances inbetween.
To move is creative. It initiates something. It brings life. It’s connected with purpose and intention. Movement, like language, reveals our purpose. It speaks of becoming freer to respond, to go beyond our current limitations and boundaries and move freely.
We will become aware of our growing freedom to move and respond to the spirit, and become truer to the spiritual I AM that we are called to be.
