Healing Our Planet
The suffering of our planet is obvious. If this planet were a person what would we do? Take it to the doctor and see what could be done to bring it back to health? Or maybe we could start by understanding the symptoms and then use some healing practises that were used in the very distant past that we need to rediscover and put into practise.
In the distant past we used the energies of sound, colour, light, crystals and water to bring back to health what was damaged. In these days we can also use our minds to create words and imagine pictures of health and beauty. Instead of adding to the feelings of despair and horror blanketing the earth, we could project images of restoration - the damaged areas restored to what they were meant to be.
We share our cells with our planet; they are the basic structural and functional unit of life which bind us all. We offer healing prayers and thoughts for our fellow human being, why not for our suffering earth?
The television portrays a picture of the sea blanketed with plastic, with fish and birds sick and damaged by this pollution. Imagine instead in your mind’s eye a pristine sea with healthy inhabitants in both the water and air.
This caring for our planet can be done anytime and in every place where we have few minutes of time.
In a war zone where every building is destroyed or damaged, see trees and green vegetation where now there is only dust and rubble. It sounds simple but it will work because our minds and thoughts have power if we use them well.
As this practise is established, our mind energy can be concentrated and directed by using a map of the world, choosing an area and researching what can be done to restore it to a healthy state and seeing this unfold in our imagination.
I wish you joy in this endeavour and a sense of accomplishment that will enrich your life and restore hope in the future.
