Your Preparation for Easter
Meditations for the Days of Lent The 40 days of Lent are a long retreat where we are led into the practice of a more Christ-like life. — Rev Mario
Join us as we enter this season of spiritual transformation. Each day of Lent we will gather in prayer, meditation, and song to share the Meditations for the Days of Lent, as written by Rev Mario Schoenmaker. This is a time to become more attuned to the spiritual outpouring of this period of time. You may find it helpful to have the book, Meditations for the Days of Lent, with you, though this is not necessary. Prepare a place where you can sit each day; have some candles, a rose, and perhaps a picture of Christ with you. The zoom link will open 10 minutes before each meditation. During this time, commence by lighting the candles; sit quietly, relax and breathe easily without effort. Attune yourself to this appointment with God and the holy ones. Each meditation takes about 30 minutes, including the preparation time. You may like to take holy communion at the conclusion of the meditation. (The service on page 198 of the Meditations book can be used.) The meditations are best viewed using Gallery View (in Zoom). Resources available from the Rosa Veritas Shop Book: Meditations for the Days of Lent. Consecrated Hosts and Liturgy for communion, should you wish to include this in your devotional time. Preparation / Set Up Candlelight and flowers will enhance the spiritual atmosphere. And if you plan to include communion, you will need a consecrated host or small piece of bread. Audio / Muting During the Service Please ensure you keep your microphone muted throughout the service. <<< Back to ONLINE STREAMING CALENDAR
