So commences the Office of the Tenebrae. This beautiful and ancient meditative service follows Christ's path from his agony and arrest in the garden to his crucifixion. Become immersed in the experience of descending darkness and victorious light through scripture readings and musical reflection.
Make sure you have a private quiet space and that your room is only softly lit.
Full-screen Speaker View is recommended.
After each of the seven Bible readings, a candle is extinguished. You may like to do this too, so make sure you have seven lit candles at the beginning of the service.
